The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a key part of the holiday celebration since it first started in 1924. It draws millions of spectators, both out on the parade route and watching the live television broadcast. In 2016, the 90th annual parade took place. Macy’s decided that in addition to digital advertising, it would also run an integrated ad in a local New York City newspaper. We presented several options for the digital advertisements and integrated piece, and these versions were chosen. They include artwork of some of the iconic balloons that are in the parade year after year. We hope to someday see the parade live, especially after doing some work for it.
